You're surrounded by miles of on-site hiking trails, and just 14 miles from Max Patch — one of the most beloved summits on the Appalachian Trail. When the sun goes down and the stars come out, your remote location means the sky puts on a show most people only see in photographs. Back at the cabin, there's a hot tub overlooking the mountains and everything’s ready to build a fire.

Every stay at The Haven WNC comes fully loaded, because the last thing you should be doing when you arrive in the mountains is running to the store. You'll find firewood waiting, a bottle of wine chilled, fresh herbs growing in the windowsill, and enough thoughtful touches to make the cabin feel less like a rental and more like somewhere someone actually wanted you to feel at home.

Ken and Julie Mallette have been married for nearly three decades. When people ask their secret, the answer usually involves getting away together, regularly, without an agenda. When they found this property, it was so overgrown they could barely see the roadway. But they knew. A few years of hard work and a genuine love of hospitality later, The Haven WNC exists so that other people can feel exactly what they felt standing on that mountain for the first time.
